We used playdough to create a model of how hail is formed. they tuened out very cool. Later on, one class was reviewing aubtraction and solving a specific word problem trying to determine ages. The kids wanted to know how old I was, so I made them work hard for it. The excitement on their faces when they figured it out was oriceless.

As we were studying features of the United States, students were put into groups and given a blank poster size map. They had a list of features thay they had to locate in an atlas and mark on their map. Everyone had a good time workimg on it.
