Well, almost. We do have one more 1/2 day left to go.
Students have worked so hard all year that I would hate for them to regress over the summer months. I do want you to have a summer and to have fun, but try to find a little bit of time to practice some of the things you learned this year so that you can amaze those 5th grade teachers on the first day of school. To do this, Cobb County School District has put together a website for you to utilize. www.cobbk12.org/cobblink/ Field day was AMAZING! Coach did such a great job putting it together and we are so grateful and thankful for all of the volunteers that showed up to help with the games. I have been learning how to use my good camera, so here are some of the shots that I got throughout the day. I think they turned out pretty awesome. Gallery 1: Back field for opening ceremony Gallery 2: Back field for relay races Gallery 3: Back field - Tug of war! The next stop was the gym, but of course there is no natural light in there so I didn't get any pictures. After the gym we got to go and play the water games before heading to lunch. And the best for last.... candid shots with our friends.
Tansill's class had our last visit in the science lab on Friday. Tradition states that the fourth graders are given the opportunity to not only pet Einstein, but they can hold it. Almost everyone was brave enough to hold it for at least a second so that I could snap the picture. (Even me!)
We have covered everything in Social Studies, but went through it very quickly before the Milestone test. In order to go back and review, students were assigned partners, given a topic with questions to answer and had to create a power point slide show to share with the class. They turned out awesome!
